良い麦となって生きる
マタイ、13.24-43
皆さん、今日の福音は先週に引き続き、種についての例え話です。ある人が良い種を畑に蒔きました。すると、人々が眠っている間に、敵が来て、麦の中に毒麦の種を蒔いて行ったのです。芽が出て、実ると、毒麦も現れました。興味深いことに、農夫は毒麦を引き抜きませんでした。農夫は、収穫の季節が来るまで、麦と毒麦を育つままにしました。刈り入れの時、まず、毒麦を集めて、焼くために束にしました。そして、麦の方は集めて、倉に収めました。
ここで、良い種を蒔く者はイエス様であり、畑は世界、良い種は御国の子ら、毒麦の種を蒔いた敵は悪魔です。ここから考えられることは「敵の仕業」は形になって必ず現れるということです。それと同時に、たとえ「敵の仕業」が存在するとしても、神様は必ず焼き払われます。
皆さん、この例え話の中で、イエス様が私達に教えたかったのはどんな苦しみの中であっても私達は生き残り、成長しなければならないということだと思います。さらに、イエス様は私達の周りには何千もの「毒麦」がある中でも私達に「良い麦」のままでいるようにと求められました。つまり、私達はどのようなことがあっても日々の生活の中で善良な人間に成長しなければなりません。
どんな実を実らせるかは、私達自身に任せられています。どんな状況に置かれても、心が乱されても、良い麦の種であるよう、覚悟をあらたにして善きキリスト者として生きていきましょう。
振り返ってみると、私の人生にはいつも神様の助けが関係していると思えるような事がたくさんありました。例えば、2018年に初めて日本に来た時の経験です。その時、私は日本語がまったく理解できませんでした。日本語での挨拶やひらがなとカタカナの書き方さえ知りませんでした。しかし、神様の愛の助けのおかげで、完璧ではないものとしても日本語を学ぶことができました。それは私という種が神様によって植えられ、たくさんの人によって耕された畑で育てられたのだと思います。
私は私という種を蒔いてくださった神様に感謝をしながら生きていこうと思います。
さて、皆様お元気でお過ごしでしょうか。数日前、秋田県で雨と洪水があったことを知りました。今、世界中で気温の上昇、洪水や地震災害、そして戦争などによって、多くの人が苦しんでいます。そういう状況の中でも私達が健康で生きていることに感謝し、被災者の方々のことを心に留めて祈りましょう。

LIKE A GOOD SEED OF WHEAT
Mat 13.24-43
My
dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Today's gospel is a continuation of
last week's parable of the seed. A man sowed good wheat seed in his field.
However, while everyone was sleeping, the enemy came and sowed weeds among the
wheat. When the wheat grew and began to bear grain, the weeds also appeared.
Interestingly, the man did not pull up the weeds. The man let the wheat and weeds
grow until harvest time. At harvest time, the weeds were first collected and
tied up to be burnt. Then the wheat was collected and stored in the barn.
Here,
the sower of the wheat seed is Jesus, the field is the world, the good seed is
the children of the Kingdom, the weeds are the destructive elements of the
world, and the enemy who sows the weeds is the devil. From this interpretation,
we can conclude that “the work of the enemy” will always appear in various
forms. At the same time, while the “work of the enemy” exists, God will surely eventually
be the victor.
My
dear brothers and sisters, I believe that in this parable, Jesus wants to teach
us that we must persevere and grow, no matter what challenges and sufferings we
face and experience. Furthermore, Jesus asks us to remain the “good wheat” that
continues to grow and bear fruit, amidst all the negativity around us. In other
words, no matter what the situation is, we must grow and develop into good
people in our daily lives.
Therefore,
let us live as good Christians, renewing our resolve to be good wheat seeds
that continue to grow and bear fruit, no matter what circumstances we face, no
matter what makes our hearts restless, while expecting God's mercy and guidance
in our lives.
When
reflecting back on my journey, there are many things in my life that always
seem to involve God's help. For example, my first experience in Japan was in 2018.
At that time, I didn't understand Japanese at all. Even I didn't know how to
greet people in Japanese or how to write hiragana and katakana. However, because of God's help and my efforts, I was able
to learn Japanese, although not as perfectly as the Japanese. I believe that
the seed in me grew because of God's love, through the teachers who taught me,
my confreres in Japan, friends, and everyone who in their own way supported me
on my journey. I want to continue my life while
giving the greatest appreciation to God and to everyone who always helps
me.
By the way, I hope all of
you are well. A
few days ago, I received information that there was rain and flooding in Akita
Prefecture. Today, many people around the world are
suffering from rising temperatures, floods, earthquakes, and wars. Let us express our gratitude to God that we are still healthy and
alive even in this condition while praying for the victims of natural
disasters and war victims in our hearts.
