信仰という宝-THE TREASURE OF FAITH
信仰という宝
マタイ13.44-46
皆さん、今日の福音書の中で、「隠された宝」または「真珠」として例えられている「天の国」とは、私達の日常生活を支配しておられる神様の愛の働きのことです。ある農夫は汗して耕していた畑で、そして商人は遠い外国の仕事先で信仰の宝を見つけました。宝を見つけた二人は喜んで全てを売り払い、宝を手に入れました。彼らの手に入れた宝は、彼らの人生をすっかり変え喜ばしいものに変わりました。
この二つの譬えで言おうとされていることは、「この両方とも、信仰に満たされた天国というものは、何ものにも替えがたい、宝のようなものです」と言われています。
聖アウグスティヌスはこう言っています。「神よ、あなたは私達を、あなたに向けてお造りになりました。ですから、私達の心は、あなたのもとに憩うまで、安らぎを得ることができないのです」。このように、神様の愛の働きに私達の心の目が開かれることが、この例えのねらいであり、イエス様が言葉と行いで目指していたことだったのではないでしょうか。
皆さんにとって一番大切なもの、宝とは何でしょうか。私はカトリックの家庭に生まれました。
子供の頃から、父と母はいつも子供達に、村の教会で祈り、ミサに行くように教えました。 両親は常に最も美しい宝はどんな時も、毎日神様と一つになって生きていくことだと教えてくれました。私はこの両親の教えをずっと信じて生きてきました。そして毎日、神様を信頼し、神様の愛の内で生きています。
皆さん、どうぞ信仰という宝をご自分の中で探してください。富や財産は使えば消えてしまいますが、信仰の宝と愛は消えることはありません。見えないところにこそ本当の宝があります。本当の信仰は幸せをもたらせ、喜びで皆さんの人生を満たしてくれます。神様と触れ合えば触れ合うほどに皆さんの「信仰の宝」は成長します。どうぞお互いに分かち合いを通して信仰の輪が広がりますよう、ご一緒に祈りましょう。
ところで、オーストラリアは寒くなりました。日本は毎日とても暑いようですが、どうぞお身体を大切にしてください。

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ
Jesus. In today's Gospel, the "Kingdom of Heaven", is likened to “treasure”
and “pearls”. A farmer finds treasure in his plowed field with sweat, and a merchant
finds it in business. Interestingly, when they found the treasure, they sold
everything and got the treasure. The treasure they found changed their lives
forever and made them happy.
What these two parables are trying to say is, The kingdom of heaven is an irreplaceable treasure. To enjoy the kingdom of heaven, we must have strong faith in God.
St Augustine said: “O Lord, you created us
for you so that our hearts will not find rest and peace until we rest in you.”
In this case, opening the eyes of our hearts to God's labor of love is the
purpose of this parable.
What is the most important
thing to you? What is the most important treasure in your life? I come from a
Catholic family. Since childhood, my mum and dad always taught us to pray and
attend mass in church. My parents always taught me that the most beautiful
treasure is to be one with God every day. I have always believed in my parents'
teachings. And every day, I offer all my work and life under God's guidance.
My dear brothers and sisters. Through
today's gospel, let us seek and live in the fullness of the treasure of faith.
For, one day, earthly treasures will be lost, but the treasure of faith is
never lost. True faith brings happiness and fills your life with joy. As you
connect with God, your "treasure of faith" grows. Let us pray
together that our faith will grow in God's love.
By the way, it's getting colder in
Australia. While in Japan it is very hot every day, but please take care of
yourself.
